I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely LOVE a good wrap! From making fajitas to it being a staple in my lunchbox and using them as substitutes for roti on curry nights, I just can’t get enough.
One brand I do really like for their gluten free wraps is BFree. The free-from pioneers have always tried to find new and innovative ways to be ahead of the trend for the past 10 years.
This summertime they have released not one, but TWO new tasty gluten free wraps. One of which is the UK’s highest protein wrap!
To get the inside scoop on these, carry on reading!
The first new wrap they have launched is their Avocado Wraps. As like all of their wraps, these come in a pack of 4 and are SUPER SOFT and pliable.
They are vegan friendly, high in fibre and contain 10% avocado. They’re made with a blend of avocado, chickpea flour, rice and pea proteins.
You can find these in Sainsbury’s and Tesco and they retail for around £3.
The next wrap they have launched is their High Protein Wraps. Again, these are suitable for vegans, high in fibre and they boast a MASSIVE 12g of protein per wrap as well as being super low in carbs. These are perfect for any health-conscious person, or just anyone wanting to choose a great quality fresh wrap with honest ingredients.
These are available to buy in Sainsbury’s and Morrison’s and retail for around £3.

With this in mind, there are so many ways to eat these wraps. Cut them into triangles and bake them for some healthy tortilla chips, add some pizza sauce and toppings for a high protein pizza base, or just use them as a lunchtime staple, the possibilities are endless.
I was kindly sent some of their High Protein wraps to try and I decided to pop them in a classic grilled halloumi wrap for 1. It takes 5 minutes and is perfect for a quick lunch. Here’s how I made it:
Ingredients
- BFree Protein Wrap
- 3 Slices Halloumi cheese
- Oregano
- Olive oil
- Chopped red onion
- Chopped red pepper
- Chopped cherry tomatoes
- Mixed leaf salad
- 2tbsp Full fat Greek yogurt
- 1/2 Clove of finely chopped garlic
- Salt and pepper
Method
- Brush your Halloumi slices with olive oil and sprinkle over some oregano.
- Heat a grill pan or frying pan to a medium heat, and place the halloumi on, leave for about 2 minutes on each side until brown.
- Mix together your chopped garlic and Greek Yogurt, then add salt and pepper to taste.
- Heat the wrap in the microwave for about 15 seconds.
- Add your salad, tomatoes, onion and red pepper to an open wrap.
- Add the halloumi slices, dollop on your yogurt sauce, and roll up the wrap.

I personally loved these wraps, they’re not too floury like wraps by other brands, and they are super flexible, something I find difficult to find in other gluten free wraps.
These are also suitable for freezing, something that as the only coeliac in the household, I appreciate, as I can just get them out and quick-defrost them if need be.
I really like how BFree offer nutritious alternatives in the free-from aisle as sometimes gluten free food can have very little nutritional value.
