Liven up your brownies using Sailor Jerry Rum and the Betty Crocker Gluten-Free Fudge brownie Mix

So, as you probably know, I am an absolute chocolate fiend. But, if you’re a coeliac, like me, you will know that gluten free brownies can get a bit boring with how common it is as a gluten free dessert option. I mean, that’s not a bad thing as it’s a step up from a fruit salad. However, when you have a lovely friend like Colin who gets you a Betty Crocker Gluten Free Fudge brownie mix, it’s so hard to turn down!

So I wanted to liven them up a little bit and put my own twist on the classic, using my all time favourite alcoholic drink, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum. I have always collected the bottles, sleeves and prints since I was legal, and Norman Collins was an iconic tattooer. So when I was flicking through pinterest, I saw the original Sailor Jerry cheesecake brownie recipe, looked at the Betty Crocker mix, and I KNEW that this was meant to be.

This is honestly so easy to make. The mix itself makes beautiful brownies, but you guys should totally try out my adaptation of this classic recipe.  I’ve put the cheesecake topping ingredients/measurements underneath the video for you guys!

Ingredients for the cheesecake topping.

220g Cream Cheese

75g Dark Brown Sugar

1 Medium Free Range Egg

1tsp Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum

So, I challenge Colin to see what he can create using these, but also my followers! So get your bake on and let me see your results! Honestly the brownie mix itself is super easy to bake, so it’s done half of the job for you. Colin also has a youtube channel, so check that out HERE

Thanks for reading!
