Ever wondered how to create amazing gluten free bakes? Well, the Bake With a Legend team are coming to Manchester with a baking masterclass that you wouldn’t want to miss!
Bake With A Legend has been going for over a year now and they organise baking classes, led by some of the nations favourite TV bakers, mainly those from the Great British Bake Off. They also run hen parties, corporate events and birthdays, along with holding public classes, which give people the chance to sign up and bake with these bake off legends!
On Sunday 15th July from 2-5pm, they are holding one in Manchester (it’s about time), and it’s going to be all about gluten free pastry, hosted by Howard Middleton.
Here is some information on their website about what the masterclass involves:
Howard Middleton (GBBO, Series 4) will show you the skills to master delicious gluten-free pastry. Learn how to make his hugely popular, melt-in-the-mouth sweet shortcrust, which we’ll transform into a brilliant batch of Bakewell tarts – fruity, almondy and decorated to your fancy. Then we’ll go savoury with a perfectly crisp, shallot-strewn choux – a real mouthful of cheesy peasiness.
We’ll start off the day with teas, coffees and pastries, before we put on our aprons and watch Howard demonstrate all the skills required to make this indulgent treat. We’ll spend around 2 hours baking & beautifully decorating our masterpieces, before tucking in to the fruits of our labour whilst hearing stories about Howard’s time on TV!
Your class also includes a glass of prosecco, snacks and soft drinks.
You can book your ticket here, but be quick, as there are limited spaces.
I was invited to this event by the team, but unfortunately due to other commitments I am so SO gutted that I won’t be able to attend. I’m hoping maybe when they do another one in the North West, I will be free to attend. I’ve always wanted to meet him, he was me and my late mum’s favourite contestant!
The event has been held in London before, and I’ve seen other blogger’s images and videos from it, and it looks like something you don’t want to miss if you love gluten free baking.
