So, the word on the street is that Costa have their new festive food and drink in store. I say ‘word on the street’ but what I really mean is “OH MY GOSH, I’VE BEEN WAITING ALL YEAR FOR THIS.”
So what is in store for us to have? In short, a lot of sweet stuff, but less than previous years, read on if you want to know what I mean.
If you’re popping in to find a festive savoury option, I’m sorry to break the news to you, but amongst the turkey, bacon and cranberry sandwiches, your options are STILL only the soups and chicken caesar wrap. I remember over the last few years they had a great turkey and cranberry wrap, and I did tweet them a few weeks ago to ask if it was returning, and they told me no.
Personally I feel like Costa have done a lot of savoury gluten free food in the past, and then ripped it all away from us, especially with the introduction of sandwiches earlier this year, which have completely disappeared.
On to the cakes, and we can have the Vegan christmas cake slice, which seems nicer than the cherry bakewell and brownie. They also have introduced a gluten free big Mince Tart, which is so nice! It is super sweet, and if I’m honest, I would probably share this with someone because I struggled to finish it.
Drinks wise, and I’m sorry to break it to you, but we CAN’T have the following:
Mint Hot Chocolate
Billionaire’s Hot Chocolate, Frostino or Latte
Gingerbread Hot chocolate
The Honeycomb Latte is a may contain, so I wouldn’t reccomend it to any of my followers, especially as some of you guys have coeliac disease like me.
In terms of what we can have, here they are:
Black Forest Hot Chocolate
Lindt Hot Chocolate (which is surprising)
Salted Caramel Cappucino
Spiced Apple Juice
It’s all a bit ‘meh’ to me, I mean, a girl would love a festive latte, guys, come on here!
A full allergy guide is available HERE Feel free to have a look.
So what do you guys think? Let me know!
