New additions to ASDA’s Free From range (July ’17)

There are new items in the free from aisle that came as a little surprise to me when I was wandering around my local ASDA to get a few baking supplies! As usual, I popped my head around the free from aisle to try and get some Burgen or Just gluten free bread, and saw some lovely products with blue stickers saying “NEW” on them. Obviously gluten free is my life now, and I wouldn’t be able to leave without wanting to share this all with you.

Let’s get crackalackalacking! Listed below are the new things I found!

Noodle Pots

New in are these rice noodle pots, both in Singapore curry and chow mien. I’m also sure they had one flavour a while back, but I personally haven’t seen them for months (along with the disappearing pasta pots).

Both of these are gluten free, wheat free and dairy free. Ideal for lunch boxes, or lazy snacks. You could jazz pot noodles up a little bit by adding your own veg/meat pieces, too.

Cooking sauces

These come in Red thai, Memphis BBQ and Korma.

These are all gluten free, dairy free and egg free, so perfect if you need something that covers all allergy bases and food requirements. If you’re just gluten free, I would read the labels on ASDA’s own ‘normal’ sauces to save a little bit of money.

Batter mix

This is gluten free and dairy free, and you just add eggs and milk (or dairy free milk equivalent) I’m sure this has already been on the shelves, so forgive me if I include this, I shop at so many supermarkets, it gets confusing! It had the ‘NEW’ sticker on it, so why not include it?

Cake and brownie mixes

These are all Gluten free, Dairy free, plus all you have to do is add eggs, margarine and water. Products  include:

  1. Chocolate Brownie Mix
  2. Chocolate Sponge
  3. Vanilla Sponge

Again, I think the vanilla sponge has been available for a while but I haven’t seen the brownie mix or Chocolate sponge in my local branch before.

In the Frozen section are these gluten & wheat free Lemon and Pepper Cod Dippers, there are 10 in a pack, and they sound rather nice!

In the chiller, you will find these gluten free pizzas, in Margherita and Pepperoni. I can’t wait to try these, I’m a big fan of pizza!

So get yourselves down to ASDA, and check them out!
