I usually do a post about my favourites at the end of the month, but as I was giving up the free-from aisles in March, I didn’t do one. April has been a good month however, so I want to share what I’m into, gluten free or completely non-food related!
Season 5 of Bates Motel is back on the Universal channel. It’s the prequel to the film ‘Psycho’ but set in the modern day. Season 5 is the final season and really gets me wanting more so far. I’m only 3 episodes in, but the season is set to have Rhianna playing a very important role. I’m so interested to see how it will link in with the film. If you haven’t seen it, four seasons are on Netflix, so have a binge. There are so many twists and turns, it’s fantastic.
Boots’ new meal deal sandwiches!
I have a friend who jokes that Boots is a meal deal shop and not a pharmacy. This is V. True. They’ve had both their chicken and ploughman’s rolls in for a while, but now they have sandwiches and a honeycomb crispy thing. It’s always worth it, especially if you’re shopping. Most of the time I just pay with my advantage card points, so it costs nothing!!
Rehab shampoo from LUSH.
I’m determined to big up Lush in every favourites post because I think they have a product for everybody! I’ve always struggled with hair loss and breakage, probably because it’s more common than you might think with Coeliacs. I mean, when you think about it, vitamin deficiencies and poor diet can make your hair look rubbish. Rehab shampoo has stimulating peppermint in to stimulate your scalp, and help hair grow a little more healthier. This has olive oil in for the tensile strength of your hair and loads of lovely things to give your hair a nice shine. Honestly, this has rescued my hair, I have a shampoo for every hairstyle I want to do, and I always come back to Rehab. I’ve had so many compliments about how long my hair has got as well.
Tesco’s Vegan cheese.
Earlier this month you will have seen my post about the new products in Tesco, their cheese is amazing. I’m not vegan, but I do LOVE trying new things. It melts, it tastes no different, and it’s pretty much the same price as dairy cheeses, but without the animal cruelty and acne breakouts that I get when I even LOOK at dairy.
Newburn Bakehouse protein wraps.
These new wraps came out, and they are milk free as well as gluten free. They have chia, millet, linseed and quinoa in, so they’re a good source of fibre. They also boast to have 11g of protein in one wrap! So they are great if you’re veggie or need the protein intake. Super versatile, they can be used as a quick and easy pizza base, a lot more healthy and quicker than ordering a gluten free dominos.
And what I’m NOT digging this month…
Kelkin’s gluten free teacakes.
These were a total waste of money, The biscuit base was like trying to eat a piece of wood. I don’t need to say any more.
So these were my favourites for this month. Let us know what you have been loving in April!
